  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cream (optional, for garnishing)
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnishing)
  • Makki di roti (cornmeal flatbread), to serve

Instructions:

Prep the Base:

  • Heat the ghee in a large pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds until aromatic.
  • Add the chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn translucent and slightly golden.

  • Sprinkle in the turmeric powder and coriander powder, stirring well to combine.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the spices to meld together.

  • Season with salt, and allow the mixture to simmer on a low flame for about 10-15 minutes. The longer it simmers, the better the flavors will develop.
