Palak Paneer Using Shezan Canned Spinach

Ingredients:

  • Paneer – 250 g (cubed, lightly fried)
  • Canned Shezan spinach (palak) – 1 can
  • Onion – 1 medium finely chopped, Tomato – 1 medium finely chopped
  • Garlic – 4 cloves minced, Ginger – 1 tsp minced, Green chili – 1 (chopped)
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp,Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp, Red chili powder – ½ tsp, Coriander powder – 1 tsp, Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Cream or yogurt – 2 tbsp (for richness)
  • Oil or ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste

Method:

    • Heat oil/ghee in a pan.
    • Add cumin seeds, let them crackle. Add onions and sauté until golden brown. Add garlic, ginger, and green chili. Cook for 1 minute.
    • Stir in tomato and cook until the oil starts to separate. Add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.
    • Mix in the Canned Shezan Spinach.
    • Simmer on low heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    • Gently add paneer cubes.
    • Cook covered for another 5 minutes so paneer absorbs flavor.
    • Stir in cream/yogurt.
    • Sprinkle garam masala.
    • Adjust salt and spice.

Serving:

  • Serve hot with roti, naan, paratha or rice.
